Sentinel and EMA Management
The introduction of the Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) has led to an increased need for efficient pupil attendance gathering systems. Sentinel provides you with the tools to gather reliable attendance data that can be used to assess payment decisions accurately and impartially.

Sentinel can help your institution with the management of your administration for the EMA.

Fuss Free Reporting
Data gathered at source by pupils and teachers can be used to produce a number of standard and customised reports, helping you effectively monitor the scheme and assess EMA payments.
Standard reports enable efficient entry into the EMASYS system for the Assessment and Payment Body (APB). These reports include fields such as possible attendance, actual attendance, reasons for absence and the attendance as a percentage.
Bespoke reports can be tailored to meet all your EMA needs. Field entries may be altered to enable you to list EMA students in total, by tutor group, year, subject or individually. In addition, the weekly attendance can be viewed in full, broken down by day or by period. These two examples present a small snapshot of how Sentinel can fully cover the tiresome administration required by the EMA scheme.
Attendance reports have always come as standard with every Sentinel package. There is no need to purchase any expensive add-ons or additional software. We have also worked with the DfES to create export files for the APB which also now come as standard.
