Cashless Catering
Cashless catering makes lunchtimes more efficient and relieves children from the need to carry money, which can help to reduce bullying. It also ensures that money provided by parents for school meals is used only for that.
It also ensures confidentiality for children who are entitled to free school meals, removing the attached stigma.
Account Management
There are many ways in which monies can be uploaded to the students account. The method or methods used are completely up to the individual school:
Vending machines
These can be used by the students to top up the funds on individual accounts using cash.
Cheques
Cheques can be sent to the school and then the students’ account is manually adjusted.
Internet or telephone banking
Parents can transfer money to the school electronically.
Standing orders
Parents can set up a standing order to pay a set monthly amount.
Tokens
The student can purchase tokens from the school shop or receptionist and then data is manually uploaded onto the system.
